Nicole S. Mulé focuses her practice on Connecticut wage and hour law, employment litigation, and advice and counseling for employers.
Nicole regularly advises employers on Connecticut wage and hour compliance. She counsels clients on employee classification, overtime and minimum wage requirements, payroll practices, meal and rest period obligations, commission and bonus plans, and wage payment laws. She also helps employers navigate audits, investigations, and claims before the Connecticut Department of Labor and develops practical compliance strategies.
When disputes arise, Nicole brings significant courtroom and hearing experience. She has served as both first- and second-chair in state and federal jury trials. She has also represented employers in public hearings before the Connecticut Department of Labor and the Office of Public Hearings. Her litigation experience includes claims involving wage and hour issues, free speech, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, leaves of absences and restrictive covenants.
Nicole has developed a focus advising medical spas on employment law issues. She counsels owners and operators on wage and hour compliance, compensation and commission plans, employee handbooks, workplace discipline, and day-to-day workforce management, helping medical spa clients maintain compliance while growing their businesses.
Nicole's previous experience managing business operations and working closely with C-suite executives gives her a practical, business-focused perspective when advising employers. She provides straightforward, actionable guidance that helps employers navigate complex employment issues while achieving their business goals.
Before joining Littler, Nicole worked at an international labor and employment law firm and regional firm, where she second-chaired a wage and hour class action and negotiated a first union contract for a national healthcare organization.
Outside of the firm, Nicole serves as a Board Member for the Hartford Marathon Foundation, a not for profit organization whose mission is to encourage individuals and families to adopt and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. She is also the Past President of the Western New England School of Law, Alumni Board.
