Nichole C. Novosel represents employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. Nicki has successfully defended clients in many different industries against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and whistleblower allegations arising under federal and state laws, including the following:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- The Americans with Disabilities Act
- The Age Discrimination in Employment Act
- The Family and Medical Leave Act
- The Occupational Safety and Health Act
- The Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Other state and federal laws involving employment matters
In addition to her litigation practice, Nicki conducts investigations regarding sensitive workplace matters for clients in a variety of industries, including higher education. She also works closely with clients to provide proactive strategies for avoiding litigation and adapting to the continuously developing landscape of employment laws that affect their workplace.
Prior to joining Littler, Nicki was employed at a large regional firm in Atlanta, where she gained experience defending employers in employment matters as well as in workers’ compensation matters. She also spent a year working in retail management.
During law school, Nicki participated in corporate counsel externships at a cable television network and a Fortune 500 global beverage corporation in Atlanta. She also was a member of the UGA School of Law’s Negotiation Advocacy Team.
