Nicholas Hankins represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters, with a practice that spans complex litigation, investigations, and day to day advice and counseling. Nick represents clients across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, insurance and financial services, professional services, consumer products, transportation and logistics, workforce solutions, and global enterprise organizations.

Nick’s litigation practice focuses on assisting clients in navigating disputes involving trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and unfair competitions. Nick also has significant experience defending employers in single-plaintiff litigation, including discrimination and retaliation. Nick assists employers at all phases of litigation from discovery, trial, and through appeals. 

Beyond litigation, Nick advises employers on a range of workplace compliance and restructuring issues, including business restructuring initiatives, Colorado wage garnishment requirements, state leave law compliance such as Colorado’s FAMLI program, and executive compensation related considerations.

Before joining Littler, Nick clerked for the Hon. Gregory J. Fouratt, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the District of New Mexico.
