Monica S. Rodriguez

Monica S. Rodriguez maintains a dynamic labor and employment practice litigating and consulting on behalf of management regarding a variety of employment topics, including helping federal contractors with OFCCP compliance efforts such as preparing AAPs and handling audits.
Monica advocates for and defends employers against labor and employment law claims, in arbitrations, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), in federal courts, and in state courts throughout Texas.
Monica has handled internal investigations of complaints for clients. Monica also proactively assists employers with reviewing and drafting employment contracts, handbooks and policies. She has also conducted discrimination and harassment trainings for clients in both English and Spanish.
Prior to joining Littler, Monica worked as an associate at a multidisciplinary national law firm, where she gained extensive experience helping her clients mitigate risk and resolve a broad range of commercial disputes.
During law school, Monica served as a corporate counsel extern in the labor and employment section of the legal department of an automotive manufacturer. She was the President of the SMU Women in Law organization and the Administrative Managing Editor of the International Law Review Association.

- Obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a nationwide company sued under Title VII and the ADEA, including claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
- Obtaining a complete dismissal with prejudice under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(6)
- Obtaining dismissals in multiple Charges of Discrimination in state and federal agencies, including the EEOC and the Texas Workforce Commission
- Negotiating favorable settlement through mediation and other informal methods on behalf of clients facing significant exposure
