Melissa L. Shingles
Melissa Shingles partners with employers of all sizes to navigate and litigate complex labor and employment challenges and manage workforce risk. She represents and counsels management in all aspects and stages of employment litigation, arbitration, and mediation as well as in traditional labor law matters.

She has substantial experience working with employers in hospitality, retail, and other service-driven industries where workforce flexibility, regulatory compliance, and real time decision making are critical. As a core team member of Littler’s Hospitality Practice Group, Melissa plays an active leadership role. She collaborates with colleagues nationwide to develop industry-specific legal strategies and client resources that address the unique labor and employment challenges faced by hotels, resorts, restaurants, and gaming and other entertainment venues.
During law school, Melissa was president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She interned in the labor relations department of the Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball as well as for the general counsel’s office of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Prior to entering the field of law, Melissa served as a real estate development consultant, advising on large-scale mixed-use development projects.
