Overview

McKenzie M. Rugo focuses her practice on advising and representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.

During law school, McKenzie worked as a law counselor with the Workers' Rights Clinic for Legal Aid at Work in San Francisco, the Workers' Rights Clinic for the COVID-19 Response team in assisting low-income clients on unemployment insurance appeals during the pandemic, and as a law clerk at a private law firm. McKenzie is a proud member of the Legal Education Opportunity Program (LEOP) at UC College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as UC Hastings). She was also a summer associate at Littler.

Prior to law school, McKenzie worked as an investigative intern for the Whatcom County Public Defender’s Office and as case aid at Secret Harbor Foster Agency.
