As a member of the Littler CaseSmart – Charges™ team and based in Michigan, Jeffery M. Peterson is responsible for handling charges from investigation to conclusion. He works on client-dedicated service teams, focusing on handling administrative agency charges. He investigates charge allegations, reviews pertinent documents, interviews key witnesses, and provides clients an assessment of the risks associated with the charge. In partnership with the client, Jeff defends the charge by drafting persuasive position statements and responses to the agency’s requests for information.
Before joining Littler, Jeff practiced labor and employment law for over 25 years, including as in-house employment counsel for a multinational automotive supplier, and as principal legal counsel for a global staffing and employer of record company. He also worked as an employment attorney for law firms in Detroit and Birmingham, Michigan, concentrating in management-side labor and employment litigation and counseling.
