Overview

Jason D. Byrd counsels management in labor and employment law matters. His practice has included the representation of financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, construction contractors and subcontractors, business owners, and other corporate clients.

Prior to joining Littler, Jason was a commercial litigation associate at an Orlando firm where he litigated and resolved allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII, the ADA, the FLSA, and various federal and state statutes. He also drafted position statements and answers to discrimination charges filed with the EEOC and the FCHR. He began his legal career as an associate with a statewide insurance defense firm defending clients against multimillion dollar construction defect actions. 

During law school, Jason served as a moot court specialist for the National Black Law Students Association, won the Regional and National Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competitions, and served as a research assistant and legislative intern. As an active member of the school’s Moot Court team, he competed in constitutional law, antitrust, and prison litigation competitions.
