Elena Marie Gutbrod brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to her labor and employment practice, advocating for employers in complex class action and single plaintiff litigation. Her practice spans novel pay transparency class actions, wage and hour disputes involving meal and rest break violations, and single plaintiff claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and hostile work environment under both state and federal law.
In addition to litigation, Elena advises employers on workplace policy development, compliance, and separation and severance agreements.
Prior to joining Littler, Elena litigated a broad range of general liability matters, including employment discrimination, medical malpractice, insurance defense, premises liability, and nursing home negligence.
Elena earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law where she was a Hugo Grotius International Law Fellow and a member of the mock trial team.
