Desmond K. Scott Nichols
Desmond K. Scott Nichols represents management clients in labor and employment law matters. Prior to joining Littler, Desmond clerked for Magistrate Judge David A. Baker in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Previously, Desmond was with the State Attorney’s Office for the 9th Judicial Circuit where he tried felonies in Circuit Court and handled numerous postconviction cases. He began his career as an assistant state attorney in the 15th Judicial Circuit where he represented the State of Florida in numerous pretrial hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and postconviction proceedings.
While in law school, Desmond externed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Appellate Review Program within the Office of Federal Operations in Washington, D.C. Desmond was a research assistant for Stephanie Bornstein, who taught Civil Procedure and Employment Law, and for Contracts professor Mark Fenster. Desmond was a senior research editor of the Florida Law Review, where his note was published.
