Dan has more than 25 years of experience advising employers on complex labor matters including high-stakes collective bargaining, unfair labor practice litigation, labor arbitration and union organizing. His industry experience spans retail, healthcare, and hospitality, with a particular focus on the Pacific Northwest. Dan’s prior service with the National Labor Relations Board adds a valuable dimension to help clients navigate the evolving modern labor landscape.

As part of his practice, Dan provides guidance to employers facing union election petitions, as well as those needing advice on how to effectively manage their union-represented workforce.
He has extensive experience serving as principal spokesperson for management in labor contract negotiations, negotiating over 100 collective bargaining agreements across a wide range of industries.
During his tenure at the NLRB, Dan served as a senior advisor to members of the NLRB, executive assistant/chief of staff to a former chairman of the NLRB, and as a field attorney.
