Christopher M. Helt focuses his practice on labor and employment matters.
His background includes defense of employment and housing discrimination claims pending before the Kansas and Missouri Human Rights Commissions. Chris has also counseled clients on compliance with various data privacy laws, including the GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA. He has successfully argued on behalf of clients in state and federal courts.
Chris has experience in litigation and settlement of numerous real estate and commercial matters, including multimillion dollar bank-fraud and commercial lease lawsuits.
During law school, Chris was a notes editor for the Washburn Law Journal. He was named Top Oralist Overall in the Evans National Constitutional Law Moot Court Tournament, and served as vice president of the Washburn Moot Court Council where he received Top Brief and Top Oralist Awards.
