Anthony Chang

Anthony Chang represents employers in various aspects of employment and labor law. He advises employers on a broad range of workplace issues, including the development and implementation of state and national employee handbooks and workplace policies. His experience includes assisting international and foreign companies entering the U.S. market.

Anthony provides day-to-day HR advice and counseling, guiding employers through compliance obligations under federal, state, and local laws. He has experience handling charges brought against employers in federal and state agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Civil Rights Department. His practice also encompasses employment litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, hostile work environment, accommodation, and wage and hour claims under federal and state law including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and the California Private Attorneys General Act.

Prior to joining Littler, Anthony gained in-house legal experience advising on intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent prosecution and technology licensing. Anthony leverages this background to bring a practical, informed perspective on the strategic considerations faced by in-house legal teams in his work advising clients at Littler.

During law school, Anthony served as a legal research assistant to Professor Michael Selmi, focusing on employment discrimination. His research analyzed federal circuit level splits and doctrinal developments shaping the “similarly situated” standard in workplace discrimination jurisprudence. He also served as the executive editor of Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, the official journal of the American Bar Association’s Section of Science and Technology Law.
