As a member of the Littler CaseSmart – Charges™ team and based in Washington, Anne E. Reuben is responsible for handling charges from investigation to conclusion. She works on client-dedicated service teams, focusing on handling administrative agency charges. She investigates charge allegations, reviews pertinent documents, interviews key witnesses, and provides clients an assessment of the risks associated with the charge. In partnership with the client, she defends the charge by drafting persuasive position statements and responses to the agency’s requests for information.
Previously, Annie focused her practice on representing employers and companies in trade secret and noncompete litigation, including obtaining temporary restraining orders and injunctive relief against departing employees.
Annie also advised employers on a variety of general employment law compliance issues including:
- Hiring, discipline and termination
- Wage and hour matters
- Discrimination/retaliation complaints
- Leave of absence and disability accommodations
She has assisted clients with drafting employment agreements, confidentiality/noncompete agreements and severance agreements. Additionally, she has provided guidance on investigating and responding to formal charges filed with administrative agencies, such as the EEOC.
Before joining Littler, Annie practiced at both national and regional full-service law firms, as well as at a boutique employment law firm in North Carolina.
