Overview

Jesús Lahera Forteza leads the development of internal and external training seminars and the preparation of legal and legislative update newsletters. He also serves the firm in an advisory capacity.

Jesús is the author or co-author of ten monographs and has coordinated six collective works. Jesús is the author of numerous articles in professional journals and jurisprudential analysis. Jesús is a regular contributor to Cinco Días and his work occasionally appears in other media, including El País.

He has been the director of an R&D research project dedicated to liability in work accidents, and has had a role in numerous other national and European research projects. Jesús has also participated in various legal advice contracts, including with the UGT legal service from 2004-2012.

Jesús' published work and research projects have focused on the following topics: temporary labor hiring and precarious employment; dismissal in its substantive and procedural aspects; ownership and development of collective rights, with special dedication to collective bargaining; sources of labor regulation; business responsibilities in work accidents; European flexicurity and labor market reforms.

Jesús is a Doctor of Law and Associate Professor of Labor Law and Social Security at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is also a Professor at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Master of labor legal advice. Since 2013 he has been a training consultant for the firm.
