A court once wrote that no man's life or property is safe when the legislature is in session. While that may be something of an overstatement concerning the California legislature's 2013 session, the legislators did introduce more than 2,700 measures, and did pass 800 bills that the Governor signed – and many of these change how employers are required to work with their employees.

Learn how California's new 2014 employment laws have changed an employer's obligations with respect to leaves of absence, minimum wage, immigration status, recovery periods, a new protected category (i.e., military and veteran status), sexual harassment and more!

Get a comprehensive understanding of how California's most significant new employment laws, and how these laws will impact HR. This will include the steps HR professionals should take to comply, such as updating or changing employer handbooks, policies and practices, and what you can expect in the future. Stay up to date, and stay out of court!
