ADA Accommodations

Thursday, June 13

  • 7:00 AM PDT
Atlanta, GA

Claims of ADA violations filed with the EEOC have risen 60% in the last four years. The ADAAA's expanded definition of who is "disabled" will likely result in this trend continuing. This reality means that knowing how to correctly manage the interactive accommodations process required by the ADA is more critical than ever.

This highly interactive session is designed to equip you with the tools you need to meet this new reality. We will examine case studies culled from actual situations dealing with accommodation and other issues, including:

  • Whether an employer has to accommodate by providing intermittent leave after FMLA is exhausted
  • Accommodations for the difficult cases created by emotional disabilities
  • Work from home as an accommodation
  • Accommodation issues related to extended leave beyond FMLA
  • Issues regarding when medical exams can be done and employee compliance with medical treatment

Our panelists, attorneys with substantial ADA experience, will work closely with attendees to discuss and develop practical solutions to problems raised in the case studies. Emphasizing best practices, participants will leave with a better understanding of how to deal with ADA accommodation issues in real life.
