R. Scott Summers and Eva C. Madison to open Littler Mendelson's 37th National Office in Fayetteville, Arkansas

Fayetteville, AR/August 21, 2006 -- Littler Mendelson, the nation's largest employment and labor law firm, announced today that Scott Summers and Eva Madison, former Wright Lindsey & Jennings attorneys, will lead the Littler's expansion into Arkansas with the opening of a Fayetteville office.

For Littler, the Northwest Arkansas office is the firm's 37th office. Littler's presence in Arkansas fortifies the firm's strong national presence and increases the resources it can offer existing and prospective clients in Arkansas.

With its new Northwest Arkansas office, Littler Mendelson brings aboard highly respected local attorneys, R. Scott Summers and Eva C. Madison, who represent clients ranging in size from Fortune 500 to employers with fewer than 10 employees in industries as diverse as retail to employee leasing. Mr. Summers' practice focuses on employment litigation and counseling and traditional labor law. He was a former Associate General Counsel in Employment Practices and Employment Litigation as well as Director of Labor Relations for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Prior to coming to Arkansas, Summers practiced with two highly respected firms in Kentucky. Summers is admitted in Kentucky and Arkansas; the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeal. Ms. Summers received his J.D. from Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, University of Louisville in 1988, and his B.S., cum laude, from Eastern Kentucky University in 1984.

Ms. Madison's practice includes employment litigation, employment advice and counseling, employment law training. She has a particular strength in HR Management and Selection systems. Prior to working at Littler, Madison was in-house in the legal department at Wal-Mart Stores and practiced at a prestigious law firm in Nashville, TN. She is also an Employment Discrimination Adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law. Ms. Madison is admitted to practice in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee; the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Middle District of Tennessee, Eastern District of Tennessee and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Madison received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas in 1998, and her B.S. from Vanderbilt University, magna cum laude, 1993.
