Littler Names G. Mark Jodon Houston Office Managing Shareholder

HOUSTON, TX (December 10, 2013) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named G. Mark Jodon the office managing shareholder (OMS) of its Houston, TX office. Jodon succeeds Katherine (Kit) E. Flanagan who will return full-time to her employment litigation and advice practice and will continue in her role as a member of Littler’s Shareholder Compensation Committee.

“We thank Kit for her many contributions to the Houston office these past six years. She has been instrumental in expanding Littler’s presence in the local market,” Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, said in a joint statement. “We are excited to have Mark take the helm. His demonstrated leadership, extensive legal experience and strong ties to the community make him an excellent successor to Kit, and we are excited about his vision for further expanding the firm’s footprint throughout the region.”

“As I approach my fifteenth year with Littler, I am excited to take on the leadership role of the Houston office,” added Jodon. “Kit has been an outstanding leader and I am looking forward to building on her efforts while creating new opportunities for the Houston office both locally and nationally.”

Jodon’s practice focuses on employment-related litigation, including wage and hour collective actions, specifically handling matters related to minimum wage and overtime claims, as well as employment discrimination claims, non-disclosure and non-competition litigation. He represents clients in state and federal courts, in labor arbitrations and in administrative hearings before the National Labor Relations Board. In addition to his litigation experience, Jodon counsels clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters and is a frequent lecturer at labor and employment seminars.

Recognized in the 2013 and 2014 editions of The Best Lawyers in America, Jodon is active in a number of professional organizations. He is the former chairman of the Houston Management Lawyers Forum, a member of the Texas and Houston Bar Associations and a chapter attorney of the Greater Houston and Gulf Coast Chapters of the Associated Builders & Contractors.

Jodon received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (1985) and his B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College (1982) cum laude.
