Littler Mendelson Welcomes Randy S. Gidseg to Its New York Offices

NEW YORK, NY (July 27, 2010) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, today announced the addition of shareholder Randy S. Gidseg to its New York offices.

Gidseg, who will divide his time between the firm's New York City and Long Island offices, focuses on labor and employment law. A former partner with Nixon Peabody LLP, he has extensive experience representing management in a wide range of employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation suits, and contract, trade secret and restrictive covenant matters in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.

"We are proud to welcome Randy to the firm," said Craig R. Benson, office managing shareholder of Littler's New York office. Randy brings not only invaluable labor and employment law experience, Benson said, but also a commitment to providing exceptional services to his clients. "He's the perfect addition for our rapidly growing New York area offices,'' he said.

"He definitely provides us with more depth and expertise in a number of areas,'' said John Bauer, shareholder in Littler's Long Island office. "He's a great addition to the firm."

Gidseg counts Fortune 500 companies as clients, and regularly counsels employers in a variety of industries on labor and employment law matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local statutes; preparing employment agreements, releases, restrictive covenants, and handbooks; reductions-in-force; hiring and discharge issues; wage and hour concerns; leaves of absence; diversity and equal employment opportunity; and union organizing and collective bargaining agreements. Gidseg also provides training to managers and human resource staff on all aspects of labor and employment law, including workplace harassment and discrimination prevention, employee discipline and discharge, leaves of absence, union organizing, and equal employment opportunity.

"I am excited to be joining the country's premiere labor and employment law firm," said Gidseg. "I look forward to carrying on Littler's tradition of excellence, and drawing on the Firm's expertise and unlimited resources to deliver comprehensive, high quality labor and employment legal services to my clients in New York and throughout the country."
