Littler Mendelson Opens Office in Orange County

Los Angeles, CA / April 28, 2006 -- Littler Mendelson, The National Employment and Labor Law Firm, announced the opening of its Orange County Office in Irvine, California. The new office, which will be integrated closely with the Los Angeles and San Diego offices of Littler, opens to meet the increasing demand of Orange County employers for the sophisticated and focused legal services that only a firm with the national reach, expertise, and resources of Littler can provide.

"The firm and I are very energized to bring our special brand of lawyering to Orange County, said Fermin Llaguno, managing and founding shareholder of the new office. "We now are in prime position to offer our already existing Orange County clients even more of the creative energy, efficiencies, and strategic options that flow from being the country's largest law firm dedicated exclusively to representing the employer in labor and employment law matters. And, we really can't wait to offer these same advantages to other Orange County employers.

Mr. Llaguno, previously a shareholder in the firm's Los Angeles office, advises and represents management in all areas of labor and employment law and is one of the firm's specialists on conducting workplace investigations. Working with Mr. Llaguno to launch the Orange County office are Jim Hart and Michael Gregg, both experienced employment law practitioners at Littler and long-time residents of Orange County.

"More and more, Orange County employers are becoming involved in state and nation-wide class action litigation," said Llaguno. Llaguno, Hart, and Gregg have significant experience before the state and federal courts in Orange County and have dedicated significant portions of their practices to both defending against these cases and preventing them from happening in the first place. "We are firmly committed to making Littler the 'go to' law firm for Orange County employers concerned about or already facing these issues."

With the opening of its 34th office, Littler is poised to play a critical role in providing top-drawer legal services to all of Southern California. "With this move, Orange County is getting three outstanding attorneys," said Tony Skogen, office managing shareholder in the Los Angeles office of Littler. "And, by adding Orange County to an already impressive state-wide footprint, Littler will be located right in the middle of its growing base of Orange County clients and right next door to the Inland Empire and the other areas east of the Coastal Counties."
