Littler Mendelson Appoints Paul Bateman To Executive Committee To Meet Firm Growth

Largest Employment and Labor Law Firm Welcomes Distinguished Chicago-Based Attorney

San Francisco, CA/ January 8, 2007 -- Littler Mendelson, P.C., the nation's largest employment and labor law firm, today announced the addition of Paul Bateman to its Executive Committee. In response to Littler's unprecedented growth and resulting demand for firm leadership resources, Bateman will join the national management team. He was elected by the firm's Board of Directors in a unanimous decision.

Bateman joined Littler Mendelson in March 2000, and has served as office managing shareholder in Chicago since June 2003. Under his leadership, the Chicago office has experienced solid growth and market recognition over the past three years.

As an active member of Littler's Diversity Council, Bateman hosted the firm's first Bollo, an affinity group meeting for African-American attorneys, and has been a prominent participant in the Council's recruiting, marketing and advertising efforts. Bateman has also been actively involved with United Way for many years and serves on the board of the Coordinated Advice & Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS), a not for profit agency that provides those in need with legal advice in the areas of employment, housing, family and health. He is a 1976 graduate of Illinois State University and received his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan in 1980.
