Learn about Littler's International Employment Law practice group.
Founded in North America in 1942, Littler is now the largest law practice in the world exclusively devoted to representing management in every aspect of labor and employment law. We serve as a single point of contact for our clients’ local and global labor and employment needs, helping multinational employers to move their employees across borders, comply with local employee relations laws, and assist employers with such international issues as overseas privacy laws and applying company policies worldwide. Today, our North American presence spans Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, with locally licensed practitioners across 58 offices.
In Canada, we assist prominent public and private sector employers to evaluate and deal pragmatically with complicated employment and labor law matters, leveraging our strong ties to the Canadian business and legal community.
In Mexico, we assist domestic and multinational clients in the areas of Labor Consulting, Individual Labor Litigation, Collective Matters, Social Security and Immigration, and have extensive experience working with institutions and labor authorities nationwide on the local, state and federal levels.
In Puerto Rico, we represent clients in all areas of labor and employment, employee benefits and general commercial and business litigation matters, provide seminars and training sessions for clients and business community groups, and engage in all areas of practice in connection with traditional Labor Law.
From all these offices, we regularly assist our multinational clients with cross-border operations, preventative measures to avoid litigation, and other labor issues. When litigation arises, we have experienced trial lawyers who have represented clients in a wide range of individual and collective actions. We also negotiate and execute labor agreements, negotiate terminations and conduct audits, and assist employers with their internal operations, from regulations and compliance to implementation of pension plans, employee policies and employment contracts, and labor restructuring that results from mergers and acquisitions.
Littler and several of our attorneys are recognized in this region for our legal services, innovation and diversity, by multiple publications including Chambers, Best Lawyers, Legal 500, BTI, and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
We are pleased to present The Littler Global Guide – an online portal providing in-depth information and analysis of a broad range of international employment and labor law issues.
