Each program will provide an overview of the types of considerations that companies should look to when considering new market entry including:

  • Setting up initial operations – is it necessary to set up a local entity?
  • Obtaining investors
  • Visa options available
  • Engaging contractors in new markets – is this possible? What are the risks?
  • Sending employees to a new market on international assignment or secondment – what is required? Is local employment necessary?
  • Immigration and tax considerations (e.g. tax equalization).  How does this affect home country employment? Repatriation obligations etc.
  • Other global issues to consider in international expansion
