Companies with contracts with the federal government cannot afford to miss this program. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' ("OFCCP") priorities are changing and its resources are expanding. OFCCP requests in pending audits are signaling a fundamental shift away from the Bush Administration focus on systemic discrimination to complete compliance with all OFCCP regulations, including those that were not vigorously enforced during the past eight years. OFCCP's FY 2011 Budget seeks approval for industry-wide compliance initiatives and nationwide company audits. Government contractors can expect to receive increasing scrutiny from OFCCP.

At the same time, government spending in response to the economic downturn has tempted many companies to become government contractors for the first time.

Join Littler attorneys to learn more about these developments and to receive practical tips on how to improve your company’s affirmative action program and reduce your exposure to liability.

For new contractors, the presentation will provide a brief introduction to the federal requirements. Both experienced and new federal government contractors can expect to leave with a list of action items for their companies to review.
