So-called "predictive scheduling" legislation is another relatively recent trend that is worth watching. States and cities are beginning to pass ordinances that would require employers to provide advance notice of schedules, rest time between shifts, and opportunities for additional hours. Several jurisdictions have also prohibited these employers from making “last minute" schedule changes and prohibit on-call scheduling.

This webinar will cover the fundamental areas of predictive scheduling to help ensure your organization has taken the proper measures to avoid potentially significant monetary penalties, including:

  • What is predictive scheduling
  • State mandates and laws currently in place
  • How predictive scheduling ordinances are affecting wage and hour policy
  • Advance notice requirements
  • What actions to take now to prepare for future predictive scheduling legislation
  • Highlight on how changes affect retail, hotel and food services employers in particular
