In early January, the U.S. Department of Labor's draft of the long-awaited Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on the “white collar" overtime exemptions was sent to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review. Issued under the Fair Labor Standards Act, these regulations implement exemptions from the overtime pay requirements for executive, administrative, professional, and certain other employees. If adopted as drafted, the proposed rule would replace the final rule issued in 2016. While the OMB's review of the draft proposed rule could take several months and be further slowed by the partial government shutdown, the time to prepare for change is now.
In this webinar, former U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Administrator Tammy McCutchen provides attendees an “inside the Beltway" perspective on what the coming changes mean for employers, as well as practical tips on how best to audit for compliance, and finally, why Navigator OT is a game changer when it comes to achieving compliance at an expert level, at internet speed and scale.
