This will be a comprehensive discussion of Oregon's new Workplace Fairness Law, which significantly lengthens the statute of limitations for employment discrimination claims, restricts confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, impacts golden parachutes, and requires that all employers include new policies in their handbooks. This law will require that all employers take careful steps, over a short timeline, to ensure compliance. In addition to discussing the rules, we will outline strategies for implementation, and opportunities for mitigating risk and reducing the likelihood and cost of discrimination claims going forward.
