The U. S. Supreme Court’s Thursday, June 26 decision in Noel Canning was an earthquake that will reverberate through the National Labor Relations Board and the labor-management relations landscape, possibly for the remainder of the Obama Administration. The Board now must re-consider hundreds of case decisions that have been invalidated by the high court.

Meanwhile, the Board has several hugely important matters pending before it that could change union organizing, employer property rights and employer-employee relationships for years.

What does Noel Canning mean for the NLRB, employers and employees in the months and years ahead? What can employers and employees expect the Board to decide in the pending final rule on representation elections, as well as Purple Communications and Browning-Ferris Industries cases?
