On January 1, 2020, comprehensive changes to the landscape of sexual harassment and discrimination law went into effect. SB 75 leaves little left untouched, affecting handbook language, training obligations, arbitration agreements, and severance/settlement agreements. Employers already grappling with significant changes to Illinois (and Chicago) employment law in 2018 and 2019 must again revisit their policies and practices to ensure current compliance.
