Companies across many industries employ service staff from housekeepers and cleaners, to gardeners and movers, to waitstaff and bartenders. The legal issues faced by their employers and human resources professionals are vast and increasingly complicated, especially those involving tip credit, tip pooling and the risk for retaliation.

Littler attorneys and members of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) Miami Chapter will present a live Mock Trial presentation of a tip credit and retaliation lawsuit and how it plays out in court.

The audience will observe witness testimony and cross examination as it would occur in a real-life trial, then serve as our jury and reach a final verdict on the case. The mock trial will conclude with a Q&A discussion and provide best practices for resolving similar scenarios in the workplace.

Cost: $10 per person. Fee will be donated to the FRLA Education Fund.
