Pay equity laws are expanding, and protections in New York, California, Massachusetts (in July) and other locations significantly exceed federal regulations.  Class action lawsuits focused on fair pay are increasing, and negative publicity can hurt employee recruiting, retention and customer relationships. In New York, with liquidated damages of 300% and a 6-year statute of limitations, pay equity suits may just be too hard for plaintiffs’ lawyers to resist.  We will discuss:

  • Updates on recent pay equity developments
  • Compliance guidelines and recommendations for dealing with this rapidly evolving area of the law
