Employees often need time off for personal or medical reasons or accommodations for a disability, which can trigger rights and obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Often, managing leave and addressing your obligations to provide a reasonable accommodation can prove difficult to navigate for even the most well-intentioned employer. In this program designed for in-house counsel and HR professionals, Littler lawyers who devote a significant portion of their practice to advising employers regarding leaves and accommodations will discuss common pitfalls and successful strategies employers have implemented to avoid liability.
