With the end of 2020 a so-called transition period ended as well, and the United Kingdom leaving the European Union was finalized.

This shift impacts the possibility of transferring employees between the UK and Poland. At the same time, those employees who previously stayed in one of these countries may have to complete additional immigration formalities to continue their stay. This session will cover possible solutions to that issue, taking into account the current practices of immigration authorities.

Our speakers will discuss in particular the following issues:

Status of beneficiary of the withdrawal agreement in Poland and in the UK

  • Who qualifies for the status of beneficiary in Poland and in the UK?
  • What rights do beneficiaries of the withdrawal agreement have in Poland and in the UK?
  • What are the rights and obligations of nonbeneficiaries in Poland and in the UK?

Practical guidance on compliance for employers employing UK nationals in Poland or EU nationals in the UK

  • What to check in case of existing employees?
  • What to check in case of new hires?
  • What formalities to complete and when?

Posting of workers from Poland to the UK and from the UK to Poland - is it still possible?
