Demystifying Immigration: Spot the Issues!

Wednesday, December 5

  • 8:00 AM PST
Dallas, TX

The headlines are difficult to miss. Immigration agents are raiding worksites and knocking on employers' doors to see immigration files. And as the President of the United States declares that employers must be held accountable for their employees, even more restrictive and complex immigration laws loom. Under this pressure, employers are left to decipher complicated laws and regulations, couched in mysterious jargon, in their efforts to find workers, fill open positions and keep operations running.

This complimentary program will address key areas of concern for employers:

  • Pre-hire identification of immigration work - authorization and export control license needs without violating discrimination laws;
  • Best practices for Form I-9 validation of identity and work authorization;
  • Options for temporary and permanent work authorization for foreign nationals; and
  • Potential "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"

Join us Tuesday, December 5, 2006 for this informative and timely program in the Turtle Creek Room

Continental breakfast and program registration will begin at 8:00 am; the briefing will start at 8:30 and last until 10 am. We will request CLE and SPHR credit.
