“77 Cents on the Dollar.” It's been everywhere from stump speeches to Facebook feeds. Under existing laws, both federal and state, there is a prohibition on paying men and women working in the same job different wages. Unfortunately, there is still a cognizable disparity between the average salaries paid to men and women. Workplace equity is the movement to “shrink the gap.”
This program will walk through the reasons and method for assessing pay equity, including how to maintain a privileged pay audit, and what to do with the results. Our presenters will discuss strategies for defending pay equity claims both in the courts and before administrative agencies and how to deal more effectively with gender pay equity.
