Live Event
Concepts of Understanding Diversity in the Work Place
Tuesday, October 18 - Thursday, October 20, 2005
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM PDT
Littler Shareholder Jaffe Dickerson poses the question, ‘How do we direct, sustain and manage an effective workforce in this diverse and increasingly global environment?’ Raising the awareness of communities’ diversity, while engaging in respectful discussions, enables people from different origins, values, experiences, and backgrounds not only to successfully work together, but also value and use differences to encourage continuous improvement.
In this workshop, attendees will review the demographic, legal, and regulatory landscapes that play a significant role in workplace interactions. In addition, the session will begin to provide points of discussion in developing healthier working relationships, which will lead to increased awareness in meeting the needs of the university's diverse community.
Please note: This workshop, intended for University employees, is offered through University Professional Development/Training Services.
