U.S.-based multinational employers many times assume that their Americas-based salespeople are exempt from control and not entitled to overtime pay, but that is not always the case. This panel will discuss exemption definitions in the Americas and the potential consequences of a misclassification. This presentation will also cover overtime pay calculations for travel time and potential alternative arrangements, such as compensation with time off.
