We will focus on the many compliance issues that are of great concern to human resource professionals, administrators, and other managers on a day-to-day basis. Some of the highlights include:

  • Legal Update - New legislation and cases affecting public school districts and county office of education.
  • "Leave Me Alone" - Hear about the most pressing compliance issues under the FMLA and ADA for employers. Panelists will provide practical guidance for responding to requests for leave or accommodation, determining eligibility of employees for particular leaves, effectively reinstating employees after leave, and understanding and avoiding liability.
  • Lunch Time Roundtable - Panel discussion with questions from the audience.
  • Employee Investigations - Learn how to prepare for an investigation, how to conduct interviews, and the skills of effective report writing.
