Littler Mendelson Welcomes Doug Parker to its Portland Office

Portland, OR/ July 25, 2007 -- Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm, is pleased to announce the arrival of its newest shareholder, Douglas S. Parker, to its Portland office.

Mr. Parker joins Littler from Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP, where he was a partner and chair of the firm's West Coast labor and employment practice. He represents Oregon and Alaska employers in state and federal trial and appellate courts in a broad variety of employment claims, including wrongful discharge and associated torts, EEO, FMLA, sexual harassment, disabilities, wage and hour, unfair competition and ERISA. Mr. Parker also handles union/management issues for employers, including representation and unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, grievance and interest arbitrations, union election challenges, and collective bargaining.

Mr. Parker received his B.A., with high honors, from Oregon State University in 1976 and his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in 1981. He is past chair of the Employment Law Section of the Alaska Bar Association and a current member of the Oregon State Bar, Alaska Bar Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and American Employment Law Council.
