SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 11, 2011) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, announced today that two of its attorneys, Steven Biddle and Robert Long, were elected as Fellows of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers in the Class of 2011. Biddle and Long join 22 other Littler attorneys who have previously been named to this elite group.

"This is a well-deserved honor," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of Littler. "Steve and Robert have made invaluable contributions both to our firm and to the legal profession overall and we look forward to their continued success. We are proud to have such prominent attorneys among our ranks and we remain committed to retaining the best and brightest attorneys in the labor and employment arena."

Candidates are recommended for fellowship by their peers, and a final decision on membership is made by the College's Board of Governors. Among other criteria, Fellows must posses superior professional qualifications and ethical standards; a high level of character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership; sustained, outstanding professional services to clients, bar, bench and public; and meaningful scholarship, teaching, lecturing, and/or published writings on Labor and Employment law.

Biddle and Long will be inducted as Fellows at the College's 16th Annual Induction Dinner in Seattle, WA on November 5, 2011.

Biddle represents management in a wide range of labor and employment matters including union organization, collective bargaining and unfair labor practices, wage/hour, OSHA, and employment discrimination and harassment litigation. He has been rated "AV® Preeminent™" by Martindale-Hubbell, and is a member of the American Bar Association's OSHA Committee and the Maricopa County Bar Association. He is also the former Board President and Board Member of Community Legal Services and is a founding Board Member of the Arizona Human Resources Executive Forum.

Long is a founder and co-chair of Littler Mendelson's Business Restructuring Practice Group, and is one of the country's most experienced labor negotiators. He is a leader in developing and delivering management and employee training courses, as well as in the niche practice of advising clients on the complex labor and employment issues that arise during corporate transactions. He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including several state Bar Associations, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
