L. Traywick Duffie to Lead Littler's Atlanta Office

ATLANTA, GA (July 30, 2012) - Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has named L. Traywick Duffie office managing shareholder (OMS) of its Atlanta office succeeding Cameron Pierce. As one of the founding shareholders of the office, Pierce served in the OMS role for more than 10 years and will continue his practice at Littler focusing on employment litigation and counseling.

Duffie represents corporate clients in a broad range of industries throughout the country.  He has successfully defended numerous class and collective matters and countered union organizing campaigns in more than 40 states, including several key cases which changed or clarified various labor and employment laws and their bounds. Additionally, Duffie has a particular interest in designing and implementing compliance and training programs proactively focusing on avoiding employment litigation and union organizing.

A frequent speaker, Duffie regularly presents before companies, trade associations, business groups and universities. He has earned recognition in the legal community for his exceptional career and has been named by Georgia Trend Magazine as a Georgia Legal Elite; named among The Best Lawyers in America from 2006–2012; named among America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in Chambers USA, 2006–2012, and has been featured by Atlanta Magazine as a Top 100 Super Lawyer.

Duffie earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina, School of Law in 1972, and his B.A. from Wofford College in 1969.
