Employers are confronting ever-increasing privacy and information security risks as new domestic and international data protection laws go into effect and the expanding digital workplace makes damaging security breaches almost inevitable for every employer. This event will offer practical guidance on these cutting-edge topics at the intersection of privacy, information security, and new workplace technology.

Philip Gordon, a Littler Shareholder who is nationally recognized for his work in the area of workplace privacy and information security, will address the impact of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on both U.S. multinationals and purely domestic businesses and will describe practical steps businesses can take in response. A panel featuring Lisa Copp, CNO Financial Services' Chief Privacy Officer and Littler lawyers will then engage in a wide-ranging discussion of the insider threat and practical steps employers can take to protect their data against compromise by negligent employees and theft by malicious insiders.
