Interactive Q&A Session with the Sarah Reyes, author of California's law, AB 1825, and Ann Noel, Executive & Legal Affairs Secretary for the Fair Employment Housing Commission, who spearheaded the regulatory process.

On November 14, 2006, California's Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) adopted final regulations for A.B. 1825 – the state's harassment training law. Employers must be in full compliance with the new regulations by February 2007.

The regulations are detailed and extensive. They have created groundbreaking, stringent requirements for all forms of training, especially e-learning. These regulations are expected to heavily influence harassment training standards outside of California. They will also influence broader compliance training mandates, such as the ethics training required for all employers under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

As part of the Special Advisory Committee to the FEHC, ELT and Littler Mendelson have been instrumental in helping to draft the A.B. 1825 regulations.

Participants will learn:

  1. The essential requirements of A.B. 1825
  2. The details of the new FEHC regulations
  3. How to avoid the most common and costly legal landmines associated with A.B. 1825 compliance
  4. How the A.B. 1825 regulations are impacting training requirements outside of California

Do you have specific questions about how to comply? What are the best practices for effective risk management? Take part in this opportunity to have your most pressing harassment training questions answered by the creator of A.B. 1825, the FEHC, as well as leading experts in online and live employment law training solutions.
