Littler’s Atlanta Office Gains New Shareholder with the Addition of Leslie A. Dent

ATLANTA, GA (August 20, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, continues the expansion of its Atlanta office with the arrival of Leslie A. Dent, who was chair of Paul Hastings’ Atlanta employment law practice for the past decade. She joins as a shareholder and is the latest addition to the office since a team of four lateral attorneys joined in January. With Dent’s arrival, the Atlanta office now boasts a total of 40 attorneys.

“Lateral recruiting is a key element of our growth strategy here in Atlanta,” said Office Managing Shareholder L. Traywick Duffie. “Leslie is a top talent in the industry, with great experience in employment discrimination and wage and hour litigation and superior trial and class action defense skills. Her presence, combined with the addition of our recent lateral hires, shows that we are continuing to enhance our team of world-class attorneys while furthering our position as the leading labor and employment law firm in the region, nationally and globally.”

Dent is an experienced trial lawyer who has successfully tried 25 cases. She has substantial experience litigating class and collective actions as well as individual discrimination cases. She has represented employers in a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, health care technology, retail, airline, restaurant, banking and manufacturing. Most recently, she was co-counsel in defending and winning a rare three-week wage and hour class action jury trial in federal court for a Fortune 50 company.

“I’m thrilled to join Littler and its growing Atlanta team,” Dent said. “I have long admired Littler’s strong client service orientation and its cost-effective approach to delivering legal services. Littler’s global platform and deep bench of legal talent, locally and firmwide, will allow me to provide exceptional service to my clients.”

Dent is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and she has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers in Georgia for her employment litigation skills. Since 1996, she has been recognized repeatedly as one of the top fifty women lawyers in Georgia. Dent received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
