Nine Littler Attorneys Named to 2006 Best Lawyers in America Publication

San Francisco, California/ October 11/ PR Newswire -- Littler Mendelson is pleased to announce that nine of its attorneys have been recognized in the 2006 edition of Woodward White's The Best Lawyers in America. For over twenty years the Best Lawyers publication has been regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States by both the legal profession and the public. Corporate Counsel magazine recognizes Best Lawyers as "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."

Selection for inclusion in the yearly publication is based solely on peer nominations, with the voting pool consisting of all of the lawyers listed in the previous Best Lawyers edition. The selection process while simple gets quickly to the heart of the matter, asking nominators to name the lawyer whom they would feel most comfortable referring to a close friend or relative if, for reasons of conflict of interest or time, they could not handle the matter themselves.

The 2006 Best Lawyers from Littler Mendelson are: David Casey, Boston; John McCarthy, Jr., Dallas; Steven McCown, Dallas; M. Scott McDonald, Dallas; James Carroll, III, Houston; Linda Headley, Houston; Courtney Wilson, Miami; H. Reed Ellis, Newark; and Garry Mathiason, San Francisco. Littler is no stranger to Best Lawyers, as many exceptional attorneys in the 2006 edition have been included since the inception of its annual publishing. This is the first appearance for David Casey, and Garry Mathiason.
