Littler Earns Top Rankings From U.S. News and Best Lawyers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 5, 2013) - Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has received top rankings from U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers in the 2014 U.S. Best Law Firms and Latin America Best Lawyers lists. In addition to Littler’s “Tier 1” ranking in several U.S. labor and employment categories, seven attorneys from the firm’s Latin American offices were designated “Best Lawyers.” Two Littler Global attorneys from the newest Colombian member firm, Godoy Cordoba Abogados, were also ranked in the 2014 guide.

Mónica Schiaffino and Emma Neher were also named “Lawyers of the Year” in Mexico and Venezuela, respectively.

These rankings follow the 2014 U.S. Best Lawyers list released in August, in which more than 150 Littler attorneys were named. The prestigious Best Law Firms and Best Lawyers lists are determined by confidential evaluations of firms and attorneys by other lawyers in common practice areas as well as clients.

“We are committed to providing the best in labor and employment representation and superior client service,” said Thomas Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “The fact that these accolades are based on the opinions of our clients and industry colleagues makes this all the more gratifying. This honor truly underscores the firm’s position as the premier labor and employment firm throughout the United States and globally.”

The Best Law Firms list gave Littler its highest ranking in various national and metropolitan markets in the Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, Employment Law – Management, Labor Law – Management and Litigation – Labor & Employment categories.

Firms included on the Best Law Firms list are ranked in tiers and listed in a national and/or metropolitan area. Achieving a tiered designation signals a high level of regard a firm has earned. The 2014 rankings are based on over 330,000 law firm assessments from more than 12,000 attorneys, close to 20,000 evaluations from almost 7,000 clients and a survey that was administered to law firm leadership. Awards were given in 74 national practice areas and 120 metropolitan practice areas. The 2014 Best Law Firms rankings can be seen in their entirety by visiting bestlawfirms.com.
