Sometimes it seems like paid sick leave obligations are changing by the month, the week or even the day. Just when deciding on a proposal and an agreed-upon solution that works for one location, another law in a neighboring city gets passed. Surely there must be a compliance solution that works across the board? This fast-paced discussion will:

  • Provide an overview of the latest city, county and state paid sick leave laws, including the Executive Order and Final Rule establishing paid sick leave for federal contractors as well as the paid sick leave laws in effect in the D.C. metro area, in particular the newly effective law in Montgomery County
  • Identify challenges of managing paid sick leave across multiple jurisdictions
  • Discuss various compliance options, including pros and cons of different strategies for implementing paid sick leave and paid time off programs

Attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical applications of the law to corporate realities.
