Katherine A. Goetzl is an accomplished attorney with significant experience in employment litigation who concentrates her practice in the area of employment defense under EPLI policies.
Katie has more than 27 years of experience in litigating employment matters. Prior to rejoining Littler, Katie worked as an employment lawyer in the federal sector at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, and the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). As agency counsel, Katie litigated cases before administrative judges at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board. Katie was also a trusted advisor who provided advice to managers on a wide range of employment-related issues.
Katie began working at Littler as a part-time law clerk during her third year of law school. She was hired as an associate and became a shareholder in 2005. Katie litigated on behalf of employers in all types of employment disputes in state and federal courts, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment practice agencies. She has experience handling bench and jury trials, arbitration and mediation. She has represented employers in claims involving:
