Littler’s Salvador Davila Voted President-Elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin

AUSTIN (May 25, 2017) – Salvador “Sal” Davila, an attorney in the Austin office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been voted president-elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin (HBAA). Davila was appointed at an induction ceremony on May 23. The goal of HBAA is to foster and encourage the involvement and interest of the Hispanic-American legal professional community within the Austin region.

“We are proud to have Sal representing Littler in his role as president-elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin,” said Office Managing Shareholder Earl “Chip” Jones III. “Sal is an incredible talent and his leadership qualities, combined with his commitment to the HBAA and the broader community, will be integral to helping the organization achieve its broader goals.”

Davila has been active in the HBAA for nearly five years and served as its treasurer from 2016 to 2017. After serving a one-year term as president-elect, he will begin his presidency, effective May 15, 2018. Through HBAA, Davila has also served as an HBAA Charitable Foundation board member, actively supporting efforts to provide scholarships to students in low-income schools in Central Texas. He also provides pro bono services to low-income families.

“It’s an honor to be elected to this role and I look forward to working with my colleagues at the HBAA to further the organization’s mission of expanding opportunities for Hispanic and Latino attorneys in the Austin community,” said Davila.

In his practice at Littler, Davila advises and represents employers, focusing on matters involving discrimination, retaliation, workplace safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance. In addition to serving in a leadership role for HBAA, Davila is a chairperson on the Board of Directors of the Austin Young Lawyers Association. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and his B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business in 2004.
